New fantasy group

I decided to make a group dedicated to to collecting and appreciating the art featuring all heroes and heroines of original fantasy worlds (villains and creatures are welcome too). All media accepted.

I have no experience in administering a group, so I would appreciate all kinds of help and tips. ^^; Moreover, I have free spots for contributors, so if anyone is interested, send me a note.

It'll probably be a hard task, but I'm determined to make it work. ;)

"At the insistence of my friend :iconitzea: I decided to open commissions. Many of the works I have in my gallery will be available for sale. I am also ready to make something at a request. The price will of course vary depending on the size of the work and the medium used.

*The 'watercolors' here means also 'and other media', because I like to combine styles and materials. That's why these are only rough prices I give. Some works would need more effort than others. ;)

I am open for all themes and offers (but I refuse to do anything containing fetishes and explicit sexual content). However, I need some artistic freedom and I don't like it when someone tries to influence my work too much. The time I take on finishing a commission depends mostly on how much free time I have on my hands. Sometimes it takes only one evening, sometimes I need 2-3 days, and sometimes a week. I warn you, that I am not good at drawing mechas. Linearts are out of question too; I prefer to do quick sketches and then complete them with more details.

The payment will be expected to be received after the work is done (if it's to the commissioner's liking). I will tell you my paypal account when the deal is made."

I feel a need to explain myself... :P

Wow, it's been half a year since I updated this journal. :O_o: I have so little time to draw now, not to mention write anything. :X I thought college would be the time to party, get the life... but aparently I was mistaken. :upset: I'm so infected with laziness at the mere thought of college work that when I got home the only thing I can do is play games on my computer or read comics. And the semester is passing so fast, next month I'm going to have my exams. I don't like it. :upset:


But what I like is coming faster than the exams: CHRISTMAS! :D It's the only Christian holiday I like, though it has nothing to do with christianity in my case. For me it's simply a tradition. :D I love the time: the laziness, the Christmas Tree, all the food... and of course PRESENTS! :D Although as well as receive I also like to give them so I'm not that selfish. Yet. :P :evillaugh:


Speaking of giving presents, it can be very benefiting. I give a present. I receive a present. And the person I give it to don't know about it yet. XD And so me and my friend are finally able to enjoy the benefits of being the premium members of dA. :D (luv ya, Karolajn :* :D)

VAMPIRE CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! X3


The Christmas Night was getting near and Santa Claus didn't have even a second for himself. All the elves in the North Pole were very busy reading children's letters or working in the toys factory, making and packing presents. Some of the little creatures were getting the reindeers and the sleight ready for the long trip. But there was no one to coordinate the work; only Santa Claus was left to make sure everything was done right and on time. Despite his age he was very vigorous, but even he could feel the weight of the huge responsibility on his arms. He was getting tired of the full-time work and he knew he had to be well-rested before the journey or else he would fall asleep in the sleight and children would not get their presents. He could not let that happen! He decided it was time to get himself some qualified helping hands.


Santa sat in front of his special screen that could show anyone around the world and looked for someone right for the job. He was looking carefully, but no one seemed to have the 'something special' he was seeking. Just when he was about to give up his eyes fell on just the right pair of people.


"They would be perfect! Fast and efficient and charismatic enough to tame my frisky elves!" exclaimed Santa.


Using his christmas magic he turned them into two small special elves and transported them to his office.


"I'll give you a tone of presents, I can even let you drive my sleght if you agree to help me here with my work," offered Santa Claus.


And because they didn't have anything better to do and the promise of driving Santa's sleight seemed enticing, Isabel and Edward agreed.



And they'll be using the sleight to deliver the presents to you! :D

Still alive... yet

Today's a special day, I think it's worth a journal. :P

Firstly, it's my 19th birthday. :party: Nothing special, really. Half of the people I invited for my party skipped. That got me pretty mad cause I tried to set the right date that would suit everyone for a week.

What's most important, today a month of waiting finally ended. I received the results of my matura exam. A pleasant surprise I must say. Maybe, with a bit of luck, I'll get into the university I want. :dance:

I also want to explain my lack of activity nowadays... There's a whole story behind that. About two years ago my parents confiscated my TV, from thas time it was in their room, together with the computer. But two weeks ago they bought a new computer with a huge screen, working also as a TV. So, not needing my TV anymore, they gave it back to me. Aparently, it missed me veeery much, because it don't want me to turn if off... I just lay on my bed and watch it all days long. Recent rise of temperature really doesn't help fighting my laziness, which slowly starts to overgrow me. I don't know if I'll manage to do something constructive within the next week or so. I know I have a few cell phone themes requests, but I'm really not in the mood right now. Sorry.

Sadly, my wallet is empty, it seems a vacuum will reside there soon. Would anyone be interested in buying my art? Like a commission?
